Why are we doing this?
New tools for freelancers come out every day. New ways to schedule meetings, send invoices, track expenses, record your hours, and more. At the same time, the act of ‘freelancing’ and working for yourself is becoming more and more popular, for people who may just be moonlighting through to those doing it as their sole source of income.
Despite all this, there’s no way to see the most popular tools and there’s most certainly no best-practice for those who work for themselves. We’re hoping to find this information and keep it up-to-date every year, by asking freelancers themselves - in the hopes of improving the everyday working lives of freelancers and self-employed contractors around the world.
